October 28, 2017.

A few weekends ago I received an invitation to spend the weekend at a friend’s cottage in Buckhorn, Ontario, part of the beautiful Kawartha lakes region.

The weather was a little damp, much like the weather this weekend, but the skies dried up long enough for me to get out on the road and capture a few shots of the fall scenery.

I’ve always preferred some clouds for outdoor photography. They soften and diffuse the light and also add a kind of soothing atmosphere.

This is the first part of a four part photography series of my weekend in Buckhorn, ON and Burleigh Falls, ON.

More posts coming soon.
